Mission Statement:
Created in 2022, The Black Art Experience is an initiative aimed to educate and cultivate broader awareness around Black artists, Black art professionals and the importance of stewardship around Black art. With the main goal of engaging guests and members of any given community through access to the city’s most well-known art entities, artist, and accompanying educational programing. BAE’s mission is to democratize the art world by creating community and accessibility for people of color.

Footage from our 2023 community partnership with the Chicago Bulls Community. This year we collaborated to bring the students of Kenwood Academy to visit and experience EXPO Chicago. Don C , a Kenwood Academy alum, talked with his design mentees about drawing inspiration from fine art to inform their design project to be released in the Spring. We look forward to advancing and exposing the community to the possibilities available as well as what it takes to have a successful and sustainable career in the arts and creative industries.
